“Lights, Camera, Action” or “Game, Set, Match”?
When it comes to fashion, Zendaya has held the court as a reigning monarch since her first appearance at the Met Gala in 2015. The starlet seems to intrinsically know that the pull she has on the carpet is due in no small part to the regality in which she carries herself. Leveraging this with avant-garde looks that elevate her natural charisma, she and her stylist create magic at every event.
Law Roach, her stylistic partner in crime since the age of fourteen, seems to be incapable of putting together a bad look. And while we may be a little biased, we at Tennis C Williams think they’ve hit a new high with their newest collaborations of tennis-themed couture.
Women’s singles finals of BNP Paribas tournament
Starting off subtle, the Challengers star attended the Women’s singles finals of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells in a dreamy Louis Vuitton pleated tennis skirt and jacket, with a simple Urban Outfitters tank top.
Australian Challengers Premiere
Jonathan Anderson, Loewe’s creative director, and the film’s costume designer, outfitted the actress with a custom gown in shimmering court-grass green, complete with the unmistakable silhouette of a tennis player serving mid-air silhouetted across the fabric.
Sydney Australia Photo Call
It was serendipitous to choose a Lacoste three-piece set for this Australian look. Zendaya is seen here wearing a customized mesh skirt and embroidered trim top from the Fall 2023 Ready-To-Wear collection, with the brand’s alligator logo emblazoned on the fabric.
Rome Photo Call
Rome is where things really get rolling. A perfectly prep tennis dress, complete with drop-waist pleats, the clothing was giving “tennis star off duty” on its own, but what truly sent this look soaring was the tennis balls on the heel of her shoes!
With the pleats she’s been wearing throughout the tour, she evokes the image of a pro grabbing a bite at the country club after a game, saying “Oh, this old thing? I just threw this on.”
London Premiere
With a playful bow in her hair, Zendaya sported a custom Thome Browne gown with tiny tennis racquets scattered as the design on the fabric.
Los Angeles Premiere
The actress slipped into something a little more neon for the movie's premiere afterparty in LA. The Celia Kritharioti gown looks like a simple deep-neck halter dress with the classic thigh-high split of its stylistic predecessors. It isn’t until we squint our eyes that we spy the centerpiece (literally) of the whole ensemble: a tennis ball, connecting the ruching around the waist and punctuating the halter.
Rocketing to New Heights in Fashion
Looking over all her stunning looks, we can’t help but think that if our favorite style icon ever feels like hitting the court again after the training for her role has wound to a close, she might take a liking to the chic, understated design of The Rocket tennis racquet bag. Personally, with any pleated skirt or tennis dress, the black bag contrasts beautifully, making for a stylish, sporty silhouette.
With the looks she’s serving, it's hard not to feel inspired to bring a little bit of that same style and flair to our own tennis adventures. And what better way to do that than with a tennis bag that's just as chic and functional as the outfits Zendaya wears?
Just like her (and Tashi’s) carefully curated looks, The Rocket is all about blending style and substance. With its sleek design and innovative features like the Rocket Pocket™ and Smart Pocket System, this bag is the perfect accessory to complement your own tennis fashion statements, whether you're hitting the court or just running errands around town after a game.
So, as you take inspiration from Zendaya's stunning tennis-themed ensembles, don't forget to complete your look with a tennis bag that's equally as fashionable and functional. Bring a little bit of Zendaya's style flare to your own tennis court. With The Rocket by your side, you'll be ready to serve up aces and looks.
As Law Roach said in his Instagram caption, “Tennis, but make it FASHION…”.
